That's a different story the MX issues do need to be addressed for sure. But that's irrelevant to this TA. I'm not sure I understand your issue with the 117 duty, maybe I have had something added to my trip once in last year. And stuck overnight zero in last year. I do realize that can happen occasionally but to turn this down because of that?? Really. I respect your no vote I just honestly think it's gonna pass. And as far as going to a legacy hey look I don't blame you the overall package is worth it. I however value seeing my small kids everyday, you only get one chance at raising them.

I'm a definite NO. I'm hoping there will be enough who are satisfied with the pay; but simply won't accept lousy work rules, and vague contract language. This should have been a crystal clear, "industry leading" contract. After all, that is what we've been hearing for several years. To me; this isn't a great (or even mediocre) contract. We need to either vote NO or postpone the vote until the union and management both agree to the various interpretations.

Although I'm not on reserve or TDY; but to the reserve guys, did this TA make it better? I doubt it. At least as of now, when your assignment is finished, you just go home. I think we took a step backward on this one.

I spend my 15 days off fishing with my kids, and the days I work I either spend my mornings or evenings with them. How is that bad?? My buddies at United commute to EWR, is that better qol?
I really wouldn't waste your time. Commuter or not, his posts are always anti company so this is no surprise.

I voted yes.

Exactly!! +1!!

I don't know where you came from or how long you've been here, but to think we would get an industry LEADING contract was setting yourself up for major disappointment regardless of what was negotiated.

Yeah my quality of life is 100 times better than his we have compared our schedules.

Quote: That's hilarious, I was called management less than a year ago. You get what you deserve.
Are you saying you were one of the CP's sent back to the line?

Quote: The days off aren't bad, except for single days and when you don't get them because you are stuck out somewhere. And because we are "home every night" it's a nice thought to make plans after work with the family until you are reassigned or again, stuck at an out station. I learned quickly my scheduled day is not my day as long as I have FAR 117 time left. There is nothing I'll be able to say to convince anyone that is looking at "making $200k" that this is more about money. There is a reason the union led with that in all the roadshows and the over view that was sent out prior to the actual TA. I'm actively seeking other employment, giving up the "home every night" because there is so much more to QOL. Also, of maintenance doesn't change quickly I hate to be trying to get on the bottom of some other list when the music stops here.
Couldn't have said it better myself!

Need some advice or insight.

I am a 26 yo first officer at Republic Airlines. I recently was contacted by allegiant for an interview and don't know what to do.

Experience:
2100 TT
1600 turbine
250 turbine pic
All civilian
Bachelors with 3.0 GPA

I will probably at least do the interview and see what the have to say but I am happy at Republic and live in Florida and am MIA based. What should I do if I were offered a job? Wait for an upgrade or a legacy to call?

Also is there any way I'd get a FL base out of training?

What's the upgrade time?

What aircraft could I expect as a new hire? I really don't want to go there to fly the MD. I feel like I could wait it out for a legacy and do that.

Is it true that there's a bunch of day trips?

And is there any link or info on the new contract I am hearing about? Pay, qol, etc.

Also, would this be a good move to get to a legacy quicker?

Any feedback or info is much appreciated. Thanks ahead of time

Florida is junior, most new hires going to AB but that can change and some classes have been all MD and you will not know until in class. If you would not accept MD I would stay away. Most trips are out and back day trips. I believe there are links and post further back on the TA within this tread. The big thing about getting to a legacy has always been 1000 hours PIC so if coming to ALG pushes that back it would not be quicker.
