Wow this is not hard and is the same language all companies use to describe what the company matches. Call fidelity and ask them what that would mean or any financial adviser.

Like a lot of people have all ready said. For every Dollar you put in the company matches with 2 dollars up to 5% of your income. To get the max TOTAL company Match you have to Put in at Least 5%. You can put in more yourself, however after 5% so 6% and above the company no longer matches.

These last two pages speak more to the distrust of the pilots of management than a math lesson.

I get that there is a trust issue, however we at some point have to trust the process. May we have to fight to preserve some of the contract at times in the future, most likely but at least we will have a binding agreement that will give us a grievance process to do that. Unlike now.

Regardless of how you feel about this TA, the confusion that some on this forum have created on this 401k is flat out scary. If this is how some of our guys are interpreting a very simple section of our TA one must only wonder if they comprehend the more challenging parts. If you contribute 5% the company puts in 10%, for a total of 15% being put into your 401k. Pretty simple don't you think Barley?

The reason it is pay is because that is more money. Max contribution this year is $18k.

Do you want 10% of your pay or 10% of your max contribution?

There are some pilots who really believe that management from their first waking thought in the morning 'till they fall asleep at night are only concerned with one thing - THEM. I guess the rest of the airline runs itself.

Well, Allegiant must not be hurting too bad for Pilot Apps. I filled one out a few days back and just got a TBNT email from them. My Resume shows 7200 hrs, 4000 Multi Jet PIC (part 135), 3 types, Company FAA 135 Check Airman, 10 years at the same part 135, and an MBA. Oh yeah, a Vet too...not sure what they are looking for but apparently I'm not it..

Again, that 18K is your max contribution. Once you hit that, they will still pay their match on the 5% the rest of the year. You'll get it in a lump sum deposit during the 1st quarter of the following year. Call Fidelity if you don't believe me.

You are over qualified and they would be concerned that you won't stay very long.
