I agree with you. an A320 pay rate needs to be close to on par with any legacy A320. If its drastically lower, eventually LCCs will not be able to staff, If they want to keep pilots there and not have them jump ship to Legacies, then they will need to make the pay somewhat comparative.

Was it said that the mediator was going along with the company in that our peer airlines were only Spirit and Frontier or something along those lines? It's not just what the company says, it is also what is going on with the mediator.

I can't answer this, as I'm not on the NC or EXCO. But judging by the TA we received, I'm assuming the mediator and NMB were comparing us to our fellow ULCCs and LCCs.

Yes, I was disappointed when I saw the work rules. You used to be able to commute with this airline. It just seems like we are negotiating for all of the stuff that the company has taken away in the last five years. But I also know that our NC and EXCO wouldn't give us a TA unless they thought it was the best deal they could offer us to vote on.

In the mean time, I'm still looking for other jobs. This company will not give us an amazing contract until they absolutely have to, and from the looks of their offer, they havent reached that critical point.

Hey guys current regional CA here. I have a 4yr degree, 3 types and about 5,500hrs TT. Would Allegiant be a good choice? I heard about this TA but don't really know much about starting pay rates, etc. I'm willing to move, but I would like some clarity on this "infinite" TDY. Thanks!

VBD is our variable base, it's what they award when there's no other vacancies currently available to new hires and is the most junior 'base.' It's not a bad deal if you are flexible and like to see new places, it is terrible if you have a family. Most of the new hires have been able to get what they want or close to it though while they are still in training. We don't typically do involuntary TDY's anymore unless you're on the Airbus in SFB. If you do get bases in FL however, be prepared to be on reserve not just in your base but for every FL base and AVL.
