No, I don't like it when people attempt to intimidate others into following the crowd, or, in this case, perceived crowd.

I rather did enjoy the irony of your implication that others on this thread had "internet balls." I do enjoy watching a good hypocrite in action.

Hey J3cub; thanks for your expert information. Oh, wait!!!! Here is our contract; maybe you should read it!

I don't think I need to copy the rest for you. Just read it yourself.

It’s a secret ballot. I don’t get how anyone would be intimidated to follow the crowd. Whom ever shots the loudest won't change anyone’s vote.

*sigh* Those agreements were not between AAPAG or individual pilots. They were part of our negotiations with the company while being represented by the IBT. They were implemented by LOA so we could have ASAP protections, FOQA protections, etc. At that time GB signed them and they are LOA'S to our current TA.

Maybe you need to do some homework and re-read it...

Most of the new hires have been able to get what they want or close to it though while they are still in training. We don't typically do involuntary TDY's anymore unless you're on the Airbus in SFB. If you do get bases in FL however, be prepared to be on reserve not just in your base but for every FL base and AVL.
If you do a VBD or TDY what are the benefits? Do you get a rental car, hotel, per diem etc? I've been looking through the TA and don't see the specifics.

sigh, because they are not specifically explained in the contract... Just one of the many "grey" areas in it.

Depends on how they interpret the rules that FPnA hand down, you always get a single occupancy hotel, but some places you have to share cars (this has been a huge deal, apparently we have to be flexible but the company doesn't), essentially if there is a hotel shuttle to the airport, then they like to play games with the cars. If you know someone who lives near the airport you'll be working out of and you can stay with them, then you can take the "hotel option" which they pay you for half of what they would have spent on a hotel (usually you pocket over a grand, depending). Per diem is paid at 24 hours a day, minus the DH beginning. We are assuming (no roadshow yet) that the rules will remain the same and allow the company to maximize their ability to move people around and minimize our ability for some semblance of stability.
