They are hoping that a TA will help stem the tide with all of the operational and mx failures that the company is suffering through by its own lack of concern for the health of the system. Look at the share price, that's the real pressure for the board to push for something. While a good contract will be a boon for the pilot group, don't think for a minute that the training department is suddenly going to start actually training our new hires properly (4 oral failures in just the last class) instead of relying on a crappy computer program that Maury hopes to sell elsewhere. Don't think that EG is suddenly going to make decisions to shore up the operation...costs money to train, fly and be safe. Watch the stock price, it's the best bellwether for what happens from the front office.

Agree. Lucky for us the stock price took a dive and stayed there. If it hadn't, the management team (old or new), would not have been successful getting this done.

You will live under whatever this contract is for 10+ years I would bet. Don't vote on it as a "first contract". The market is in your favor on both pilot supply and pay. United Airbus pilots make $245 today and $258 in two years with a 16% DC. They will snap up to delta if delta beats them (incredible language to get). They and AA open again in 2019.

$205 is gonna look pretty crappy when you see $300 at the legacies in 2020 not to mention all the other contract language.
