I'm really hoping we got rid of this merlot/excel spreadsheet bidding BS. I would even be okay with Pref Bidding if we had rules and an actual bidding program.

I sure am interested in seeing that contract. To see how the company goes from 4 and a half years of Frank Lorenzo attitudes and "we will never work with a Union" to 4 months of "hey guys let's get this done ASAP!" and hopefully not bewitching the negotiating committee in the process.

We know pay guarantee will probably go up 4 or 5 hrs per month and top Captain will be around Alaska airlines Captain pay, with the largest pay bumps at the more junior FO pay scales. With so many commuters holding their breath I wonder if the commuters will get a break or they will just have to pack sand.


Congratulations everyone. The teeth of the negotiating committee is the pilots, and the solidarity is pretty strong. The strike vote obviously had its effect, if not immediate. Everyone, from the Union leadership to every pilot worked hard to get this TA. Now the pilots will merit the Union's work, and vote on a passing grade or not.

Now will Maury pull the ripcord on his golden parachute now that he has a contract to deal with by selling or "retiring"? or do we merge? My guess is the attitude change at the table is because of one of these reasons. He's got a plan, and not having a contract interfered and that's the only reason we have one to vote on, now.
