What am I doing wrong?
Just like you volunteer, so do I. I'm in a committee attending meetings and trying to keep us from putting one into a mountain down in South America, I do it for free. I do exactly what the union tells me to do. I support the group. Iiiiii don't ttttttt cleannnnnnn. That's what's wrong. I'm not hating on u. I used to help with cleaning until they took our premium pay, medical, mandatory non rev training for free, profit sharing, check in policy, etccccccccc. All done by email. By cleaning, you're sending the wrong message. That's what's wrong. And no, I'm not miserable here. I love and enjoy flying with the people I do. But helping clean, isn't helping anyone but showing management that we're happy and everything is fine. If they don't go the extra mile for me and my colleagues, to provide us with a competitive contract like any professional deserves, then I wouldn't not go the extra mile to help their OTP BS or anything beyond my duties as a professional pilot. Again, you're sending the wrong message. You affect the rest of us, because if u clean, then they expect all of us to clean. Our LEC chairman down at FLL already got written up for not cleaning while non Reving to attend a union negotiations meeting. So disrespectful to a Captain that has given more than 15 years of dedication and professionalism to this company. That's what's wrong. And yes, he got a call from the chief pilot. Not a friendly one. I hope you get it, if not, oh well. Like you said before. It's your choice. And out of respect of my time, I will respectfully move on and not engage with you again. I hope you understand. You and the rest that clean and do extracurricular activities while on duty that have nothing to do with flying, are sending the wrong message. Just like the guys that don't wear the lanyard. Again, it's your choice, but if you help clean, stand up PAs, no lanyard, I'm not policing, but u are sending the wrong message. Its all about perception and persuasion. Its on uuuu..,,Originally Posted by hyperboy

Just a reminder
We're the second most productive pilots in the industry USA. We're 5 or 6 in compensation. SWA pilots are first in productivity. They don't clean, etcccccccc. SWA compensated them and their FAs and mechanics with a premium contract. Appreciated.REWARDED !!!! What do we get from our management. Nothing, Zeroooo. Low balls and emails changing everything on us, while we have guys cleaning, standup PA, releasing brakes, single engine taxiing unnecessary, taking shortcuts for what reward, instead of flying their routes unless for wx or atc request. Not wearing lanyards to show support for those negotiating for our future. That is what's wrong. I always give my passengers 150% of performance as a professional. I only give JBLU just what I'm supposed to. No more, no less. Because that's what JBLU management gives us. While they're filling their pockets with record profits. I do my part...
