I hate to add this extra step, but maybe we should all start "educating" our in-flight colleagues on what our FOM actually says regarding cleaning so to avoid unnecessary calls from the CP. This could be done during the formal briefing prior to boarding. Let them know that it only applies to Non-rev and not Duty, and that light cleaning is adequate.

I am surprised to see how many people claim to see people clean.

I do a lot of turns , island turns as well, so cleaning in many cases isn't actually required cause of it being a international flight . Fly with a lot of senior captains , who 10/10 don't clean.

That being said in the last two months I have seen 1 captain last week clean.

He is 61, non union dues payer , no lanyard , retired airforce , doesn't use our medical etc . Pretty much the type of would expect to not jump on the union bangwagin . Sadly .

In either case he is the only guy I have seen clean in months , I will add to that I commonly DH on a 190 and man it's blue glove heaven on some of those flights .

If you fee bad for not helping find another way to help , -ask the flight attendants if they want a coffee or food as many of there trips don't allow them to get off the AC, the enemy is the company trying to force this culture not that paticular FA in the back.

I am also a Florida commuter and commute on us weekly , cross my row and say thank you for the ride . Walk off , sure I get the face from time to time, but I have more important things in my life to worry about than if that FA doesn't like me cause I don't help do her job. Sorry not sorry

Hold the line fellas , management is just using workforces to help reduce cost .

Maintain the profession that you wanted when you saw this job as a career when you first started years back.

Best of luck to us .

Again, Forget the flight attendants. Their option of you should enter into the equation

Yet he probably the first to get excited when he finds out the the airport he's overnighting at has KCM, which was sponsored and created by ALPA.

There was never a requirement that pilots help clean the aircraft at PE. Some chose to help, but not necessary.

If I help, it is ONLY because I want to help out my fellow coworkers. Call me a juicer if you want, and its not that often, but if I have a long wait for my commute and my flight crew is especially nice, I will help out a little bit. and Ive always done that... long before I was here.

Then again, there was the flight attendant who told me that if I wasn't going to help clean, that maybe the next time she flew with me she wasn't going to give me a bathroom break.

Believe me , don't get me started . Very short sighted and selfish viewpoint. Many times their argument is they won't see the benefit of a CBA before he retires . That's the common excuse of the above 60 folks here at JB.

Excellent! Great reason to divert.

I'd remind her it's not her decision to make.

I hope you wrote an to HR or an FCIR and a PDR. This is harassment and a threat.
