Default When To Apply

I believe I saw somewhere on the company website to apply when you are within 3 months of reaching ATP mins. I currently have 340 hours left, along with the need to complete my CMEL. With my current gig, that could be anywhere from 4-7 months depending on how much I fly.

Only reason I ask is because I want to minimize any downtime and have a class date waiting for me, if possible. Apply now or wait a couple more months?

Unless they changed it, it was interview within 3 months of reaching mins. You can apply before that, and tell them when you will reach the mins and you will get an interview scheduled to coincide with three months prior to reaching the mins.

Ah. That would make sense. I definitely misinterpreted that. Anyone have any input on whether the cadet program would be worth doing this late in the game? Says the requirements are a CFI and CMEL. Have the CFI. No CMEL yet.

Get the CMEL. I doubt they値l let you interview without it. The cadet program will get you higher class seniority so yes, it is worth it.

You can interview for a pilot position without the CMEL. You値l need the CMEL for the cadet program.

Okay thanks. Getting CMEL in the next couple months. Just curious as to if I値l gain any advantage joining the cadet program a couple months before interviewing.

The cadet program will always help as long as you apply for it before reaching ATP mins. There is no downside to being a cadet as there is zero obligation but it starts the clock on company benefits and will bump your ground school seniority significantly. In short, if you meet the requirements for cadet and don稚 yet have ATP mins, it痴 in your best interest to sign up.
