it’s a fantastic barrier to entry that helps boost pilot pay and QOL while also introducing pilots to aerodynamic concepts they may have never seen or experienced before which enhances aviation safety. Is it perfect? No, far from it. But it’s definitely something that should not be eliminated but instead improved.

That's the general order. I can't confirm that you get paid during ATP/CTP since I already had it done before getting hired. Indoc starts your pay as that is technically your seniority date and first day with the company. ATP/CTP and Indoc are usually only separated by about a week. If you dig through this thread the full training schedule has been laid out a couple of times. Probably 20 pages or so back is the most recent if I remember correctly.

OO is the two letter IATA identifier for SkyWest

Other examples:

AA = American
DL = Delta
FX = FedEx
9E = Endeavor Air
YX = Republic Airways
OH = PSA Airlines

etc, etc...

You do get paid a back pay from ATPCTP and INDOC on your first paycheck. All depends on when you start in which pay period. But my class didnt get paid until our first week of ground.

Default Leather Jacket

I know the PPM says only approved jackets from the two vendors, Crew and M&H. I'm only seeing a leather jacket from M&H and when I log in, it doesn't show up anymore. If we were to wear a black leather jacket with epaulets, name tag and wings, would that be a no go. Even if it had no logos, and just looked like a leather jacket?

Perrone Apparel. That’s who you need to order from. Order the SkyWest one. Don’t try to pull off an unapproved leather jacket… it’ll get noticed immediately. Perrone takes forever to process orders. You’re looking at a few months until you’d have the jacket in your hands.
Check the “Life After SkyWest Airlines” fb page and you’re bound to find someone selling theres for a good price… you’d still need to order the name plate from Perrone though.

I bought a used southwest version online, color and material looks the same but name patch is a different size, would that be a problem?

sfepard air is for the _ATP_ written.

the ctp course is a prerequisite to taking the atp written but not really related to nor a review for the test

the SkyWest name patch has the SkyWest wings on it so someone who decided to be knitpicky could potentially have a problem with it. And yes, there are plenty of uniform police out on the line. Most people, however, probably wouldn’t notice it
