Checkride failures

There’s a lot of trashy schools out there with instructors that......can’t really instruct that well.
I’ve said it before I’ll say it again.
You’ll need to make it up somehow as you won’t be in the left lane anymore.
Instruct long enough and well enough that you become a Gold Seal.
Maybe asst Chief Flight instructor at a 141 school as this requires a ride with a Fed.
Get involved with volunteer FAA safety teams (FAAST?). Get a 135 job and get many and I mean many checkrides and recurrent events and FAA observation rides between you and your last fail.
135 rides with chief pilot
135 rides with POI
Initial and recurrent type training at Flightsafety/ CAE.
Fly 135 till you upgrade, that’s a another ride with your POI.
Get 135 PIC time then go to a Regional.
By the time you start applying to one of the big 5 (7?) you have 7-10 years and 20 checkrides/evaluations and a couple of type ratings between you and your last fail.
No fails in your professional stage of your career, all in your primary stage.

second this. OO has no gaurenteed career progression, if you can get on with a WO or an AVIATE regional that would be a strong consideration. OO is a good place to be but given the circumstances i would go somewhere with a better shot of moving on.

Well the 40 captain and 30 FO’s that move on each month would disagree with you...

With one exception (one guy went to VX/AS), everyone I know who has moved on from OO, has gone to UA or SW. There's a monthly list published that also seems to include a bunch of pilots off to FDX, but I haven't seen many AA guys on that list.

I asked the Endeavor rep at Oshkosh what percentage of their pilots with the guaranteed interview at Delta get hired. She said 50%, which really surprised me. Guaranteed interview doesn't mean much with 50% failure rate.

I'd be curious how many apply and don't get an offer?

She was lying or misinformed.
I was in a crash pad with a bunch of endeavor guys and they all said it’s below 30%.

It's not magic, but it's way higher than 30%.
