Why on earth would we be safe to be out and about? COVID-19 is still spreading and we are opening the country back up. We have limited testing (only for the sick), no therapies and no vaccine.
I love my job and I want to see travel back to where it was as much as the next guy. If we have a second shutdown, that will be the abyss.

So testing is available, you just have to ask.
A second shutdown would be abysmal because it would mean the end of our economy and monetary system (in other words, it won't happen).

I have been tested and am not sick. So have a couple hundred pilots at AA. I've also had at least a dozen family members and neighbors that got tests as well. What's funny is that of all of them that have tested positive, almost none of them had any symptoms at all.

while I don’t quite know if it’s the end of our currency and civilization you can’t possibly believe that any nation has the money printing power to try and keep a whole economy afloat for the better part of a year.
Some people have to die. That could very well be any of us unfortunately. That said I am not willing to tank our economy into a decade or more long depression. I certainly appreciate and respect the sentiment of trying not to put a monetary value on human life but that’s not how the world works.
