Taking a peek at the LAX list I see individuals around 50% who’ve been at the company for just over 2 years. Remember though a year has gone to waste. If I was to give you an educated guess, I’d say around 6 months if you were a 175 new hire.

So many factors though, if those AA 175’s go to LAX that will grow the base and move the list along quicker. It’s so weird glancing at the growth and new junior bases. It was always DTW, ORD, MSP, in that order. DTW and MSP are senior now. Obviously we’re heading west. The only Junior east base is ORD at this point.

Do you think a new hire ERJ can get awarded LAX out of training? Just trying to figure out what aircraft I should go to. Weighing the pros and cons!

A pilot near the end of the list for the 175 was awarded LAX. Unfortunately the new pilots in training haven’t been awarded a base yet so I can’t reference what’s going on currently. I’d bet it won’t take you too long if you’re not awarded LAX out of training. CRJ FO LAX is more senior than ERJ.

Thank you! Do you know when their bid comes out? I’m interested to know if new hires are getting LAX out of training.

Unfortunately I don’t know where they are in training, It shows 7 pilots with no awarded domicile yet, I’ll check in periodically and reply back if I see changes.

Also all 7 may not even bid for LAX, so it probably won’t be accurate anyways in that regard. But if your goal is LAX, the ERJ would be the correct choice.

Will be applying in a month or so. What are the chances of getting DFW? Would be easiest commute for me. Thanks in advance.
