American wants Skywest to be flying a bunch of ERJ-175s out of Miami for flights from the southeast through Miami to the Caribbean and central america. Can the 175s even do that? Don't they need life rafts?

Uhh....that flying is what Republic did @ MIA. And AA took it back and gave it to Envoy.

Why are you so dismissive of this? AA is not happy with their own Envoy. SW is the poster child for stable flying. If it didn't work well with Republic and isn't working well with Envoy, why would they not try Skywest?

Probably because
A) this guy is a troll
B) this is literally the first time that those words have ever been uttered
C) OO would have to begin a new maint base as there isn’t anything close enough to that location to support that operating. (Doubt BNA would be close enough)
C.1) CC wouldn’t even entertain an RFI from AA without it including a 20+ yr contract guarantee that would cover all of the base CAPEX costs as well as the cost & payments of all the planes.
D) SkyWEST

AAG doesn’t hate the voy that much to fork out that cash.
