And why exactly is MIA such a big deal? The flying sucks, and a ton of Envoy guys are bidding out of it.
And whoever (well, just you, Kirill) is thinking RPA is buying Envoy. You are high on crack.
Envoy is a billion dollar company. RPA, or SKW or anyone can't afford it. And splitting the airline from the ground handling side would be so messy no-one wants to touch that.
RPA after the IPO and SKW have plenty of money to outspend if they want to take that. Buying out Envoy is not realistic - or smart.

but scope so, where are they coming from? Is legacy management expecting scope relief from their pilot groups? I sure hope not. The only way I could see a relax on the scope restricted aircraft is some type of stipulation. For every two 50 or less (I'm thinking metro/1900/sf34/dhc8) seaters removed, one crj7/9 or 170 could be added.

Skywest has $1B in free cash right so, it could be done.
If AAG wanted envoy gone, it would be a done deal.
That wholly owned thing is a double edged sword.

Buying Envoy would be idiotic. And 1B is nowhere near enough to buy it. Skywest did not become a large regional by being idiots. They know better than that.

Don't act like it's singular to WOs. Your kool aid runs deep too.

If SkyWest wanted to buy a WO, they would buy PSA. No ground handling, just a bunch of CRJs. Envoy is a huge ground handling operation with a small airline attached to it. The airline is like a Stage 4 Glioblastoma, it can not be separated from the host.

Pretty sure I said I was playing devils advocate, but let really explore that ‘what if’.
CC wants nothing to do with buying an entire airline, or 145’s…
if AAG wanted to downsize some of its liabilities, I’m sure CC would be more than happy to pay cash for those 75 175’s that envoy flies. That would only be a 30% increase to the number of 175s that OO already has.
As long as CC is pres/ceo, there won’t be neither acquisition of a company. Now if we’re talking about waiting until a company collapses? CC would be the first person in line with a big bag of cash to buy the planes and his HR manager would be in tow to begin the interview process for said company’s former pilots.
All that to say, none of that is going to happen, i could almost guarantee that CC is focused on my more interesting things.

Yeah except we don’t walk around in Delta uniforms telling everyone we’re actual Delta pilots. I’ve heard the stories out of ORD of Voy boys in their matching mainline AA uniforms telling clueless pedestrians they’re mainline AA, then proceeding to fly those clapped out 145’s 🤫🤫😃.
