Well, can I use the EFB to send a quick message to crew support explaining that we will not be arriving at our original show time because the hotel van never showed up and we won't be able to legally make our show time? That would actually be easier than spending 30 minutes trying to explain why we needed our show time adjusted by an hour, hanging up on them and spending another half hour talking to the chief when they tell on me for not showing up on time exactly like I told them we couldn't do. Haha

Uh, you can just start a group text with CS and the Chief if you want. Did exactly that. many times.

Disclaimer: I already bounced, and it seems I made a good move. But I’m still heavily rooting/empathizing for those I left behind.

If you're less than 1 year it is a 3% vested company addition to your 401. So about 1800$ per year as a New FO.
If you're between 1 and 5 years and currently contributing the 4% there is no effective change. If you aren't putting in 4% you're an idiot who needs to talk to a financial counselor, but you will now get a 3% contribution from the company anyway.
If you're between 5 and 15 years who is contributing the current Match you will effectively get a 1% increase in their contribution, and can even decrease your portion by 2% and still come out ahead on their portion.
If you're over 15 years and contributing your max match of 10 or 12% you can decrease that contribution by 1% and still net a 2% increase in their contribution and will no longer be subject to the highly compensated employee problem.

This TA is nowhere near what I would want as it completely missed in QoL items.

But I also don’t think this will solve their attrition problem at all.

Maybe there is a case to take the extra $ and wait for them to come back. Just make sure SAPA cannot do any LOA outside the “contract”

Money can solve a lot of problems. Voting this down CAs will lose 5K a month every month that it takes to get a new TA. The new TA will move some money around and throw on some sprinkles, meanwhile you’ve lost 10K-20K.
Biggest complaint I hear is the EFB notifications.
We get reflowed now via flight view.
Only required to accept when your activated, if your not in the flight deck you don’t have to acknowledge. I don’t don’t think it’s worth losing money over.

I agree, everyone wants more, and most of the people complaining won’t have to stick around here long enough to justify waiting months upon months for the next TA to be released. I’ve pointed out some things in it that I don’t like, but I am considering a ‘yes’ vote rather than waiting for the same pay scale to take effect months from now.

This might have been before the CS text option. I've had mixed luck using the text line over the last few years. I called and told them that it was illegal and they eventually told me they could not change our report time. So I hung up and told my crew what time we would be showing up. I'm glad you found a way to deal with it, but my solution was to just follow the rules and not argue with CS when they were trying to tell me to do something illegal.
The point is, they want to have more tools to push us to do things off script (or at least rewrite the script) at their convenience, while we frequently have to sit on hold for hours or waiting for a text reply when we are trying to help them. I can't count how many times I've tried to inform them of a situation going sideways to try to prevent a cancellation, delay or leave my crew stranded in an airport for 12 hours and they wait until it's too late and scramble to fix exactly what I told them was happening. The fact that they want to add another one-way communication tool to manipulate us doesn't really bother me too much, it's the fact that they presented it as if it was a gift in the TA.

This TA is 100% dead in the water now thanks to Mesa coming up with their new pay scales. Nothing left to see here til the company/SAPA recover from shock and put out something significantly better.

So @roundluggage….can we skip the vote and just get back to the drawing board? Or do we all need to spend the next two weeks working on our Mesa apps?

In light of the new Mesa agreement SAPA should pull the vote. Interesting times, a CRJ driver can now pull down what was widebody CA pay a few years ago.

Will the last person leaving for higher pay remember to turn the lights off? Thanks - management
