DL meters from 9E fairly severely (and I think from OO/YX), and AA even moreso from their Wholly Owneds. This isn’t really new unfortunately.
Seems excessive to be calling people fools and idiots… there’s a lot of calculus that goes into these often very personal decisions. Didn’t you stick at SkyWest until Delta hired you?

Some very cool things
From the Q2 Earnings Report transcript:
"We don't like as much churn as what we have. So look, we're doing some things internally and with some various programs with our partners to make sure that we have people that are going to be willing to stay here longer if they're eventual objective is to go to our major partner, which by the way, that will be our long-term objective for both captains and first officers, is to make sure that we have programs aligned with going from -- directly from SkyWest directly to a major carrier. And then admittingly, it's taken us some time, but I think there's going to be some very cool things come out here in the next month or 2."
So any insights as to what these "cool things" are going to be in the next 1-2 months? Enhancement to the GPI program? Formal flow programs? None of the above?

Yep utterly irrelevant now pretty much. Skywest said on the call they want people to be at the company for longer so expect a lengthy wait to “flow” anywhere. Best option is still to get out and go basically to any ULCC and apply from there to your major of choice. It’s all just smoke and mirrors with this GPI and whatever they introduce next.

I ended up staying where I’m at actually. Working just 13 days a month is too valuable. ULCC year two pay is more than any OO FO is making. It’s worth the move.
Many good memories back here. But I do have some OO induced PTSD. Attendance SADs. SAPA. Crew Support. Twenty-year regional pilot LCAs. Waiting on hotel shuttles. PRIA this. PRIA that. Reflows. Plane swaps. Two hour sits! Holy crap. I gotta get off this thread. Nightmares up next!
