What does it cost for single occupancy during class? I know the trainee is responsible for half, I'm looking for the rough amount.
I thought I remember hearing their rate was something around $40 per night, and you would be required to cover the half if you wanted to be solo.

Just something I believe I heard a month ago when I interviewed, no guarantees!

You pay half. $50/ night. Pretty stupid move IMHO.

Has anyone gotten a call to interview recently? And if so how long did it take to get the call?

Agreed, why spend the money and lose a study buddy?

For privacy? I am that way and I refuse to share a room with someone. You can set up a study group in the lobby.

I did. I went to one of their job fairs and they set me up with an interview date the next day so I don't know if I count. If you can get to a job fair you should do it. They'll do most of the HR interview at the job fair and will usually set up your full interview soon after.

Yeah good luck during the sim. May be they will let you fly the airplane solo as well.

You do realize quite a few other airlines do single occupancy only...

You do realize that I am not in training? If you haven't figured that out, then its your problem. I was just stating my opinion about sharing a room with someone. And yes, I did great during initial and upgrade training without having a room mate.

That is the dumbest thing I've heard. It was already said, alot of airlines have single occupancy. To think you are any less of a pilot because you don't have a roommate is stupid. Why don't you ask some of the union guys at other airlines that have a pair what they think of double occupancy. Oh wait I can tell you.......not a snowballs chance in hell.
