Four points and quality inn are 60 and 42 dollars in the door respectively. Four points really nice, quality inn is anything but quality and quite gross.

Welcome to min days off.

I don't know about all this advice about not bidding when you're new. I got decent schedules because many people above me didn't know how to bid. Read all you can about PBS, understand what's realistic at your seniority, and bid for what you want.

Lastly, anyone know when SkyWest sends out the W2's for taxes?

Thanks in advance!
2015 W2s are now available on your personal profile page at SWOL. Under the payroll tab I believe.

Of the 11 trips I bid for last month, I was awarded 10.

Then PBS pulled 9 of those trips ('replaced/ not-awarded due to coverage dates') and awarded the trips to junior guys.

Point is, it doesn't matter what your seniority can hold when PBS deliberately ignores seniority. It's got nothing to do with how you bid.

PBS is for the company, bidding is easy if you are senior or junior. Bid what you want, take what you get. Remember "less is more", choose fewer constraints and PBS will have more choices to solve for.
Line Holder: bid a cadence with enough credit to meet the domicile min hrs, and on reserve, pick days off and expect none, if you choose weekend reserve, you will have a slightly better chance of controlling your days off.

Maybe if they stopped picking up other regional flying and made more efficient schedules I would care more about the company, but when they work us to the limit, AND pickup additional flying, I don't give a crap about reliability.
Wa ahead of you. My reliability doesn't help the company average.

This ^^^^^ Yes you can open up your bid to more pairings but if your seniority should hold a trip, it is complete garbage that it is removed and given to someone junior.

I have got pretty good at guessing what the min required will be (just kidding, I assume it will be 88 hours) and then I make sure that I am going to get at least that. This month my line award was only 21 minutes over the min required. But that also means that I had a 19 hour 3 day removed and was awarded a 19.5 hour four day. So awesome that I get to work 1 more day just so the company could cram another 30 minutes into my schedule.

^^^^ this ^^^^

you only address part of the PBS equation. Its prime directive is cover all flying - in terms of hours and days.

I believe the critical path is coverage days and not hours. So even if you bid/get efficient and high value trips it will pull it to cover more days.

I hate to say it but we all better plan on working the max number of days (19) regardless of how efficient of a trip mix you should be able to hold.

You guys really need to push for ASA's flightline. This is the pitfall we set out to avoid. Chip Childs, however, has said he is going after it as it's an "industry leading" PBS system, including Mainline Carriers. I would love to see SkyWest get a hold of it. Of course, SAPA and your mgmt will vehemently be against it.
