They don't have a lot of orders yet. It'll probably help when they finally get a plane to Farnborough to show it off. But here is where it stands, according to Wiki:

Airline Firm orders Options
All Nippon Airways 15 10
Trans States Holdings 50 50
SkyWest, Inc. 100 100
Eastern Air Lines 20 20* *Purchase rights (MoU)
Air Mandalay 6 4
Japan Airlines 32
Total 223 184

So SkyWest has placed far and away the biggest order.
Orders mean nothing till they take delivery. The plane was already being build when OO put in the order. You think they built the MRJ from start to test flight in 2 years? They were making the aircraft regardless.

If I have a day of reserve that I am commuting into and then I have been assigned a trip for the rest of my reserve days, can I call crew support and volunteer for ready reserve? I'm going to be at the airport anyways and I'd rather get credit for sitting rather than sitting and not getting any credit.

You can ask. The absolute worse they can say is no thanks.

ExpressJet just voted in their new extension. $37/hr first year FO pay. Thoughts on if SkyWest is gonna go to the $36.50 they put in our last deal? No trolls please...

Not likely until they start having trouble filling classes.

Take a look at our Board of Directors and what other positions those guys hold in the aviation industry. You might find your answer there.
If it's cheaper to operate I'd say it has chance.
Seat count and weight are falling in line with current scope.

Skyw could very easily (not talking easy profits) start branded flying. Independence air....I know, I know. The Alley-giant, Frontbus & Sparkle all are doing alright to great; there is no reason Sgu couldn't find routes with no competition on them for 20-40 frames.
Anyway, it would give them a chance for more VPs. "...And the new VP of Peanut Saftey is..."

I hope they do raise first year, then we can start talking about everyone else again.
We need to start thinking of better pay rates in the 7/9/175 and let the 200 be.

They could start it easily; they could not succeed easily. RJ's are not economical for point-to-point flying...their primary value is as a supporting component of mainline hub-and-spoke operations.

This is the last thing SGU would want to do; it would be a final act of desperation. In that scenario their best bet would be to start a narrow-body LCC, with limited supporting RJ's. But you're not going to see another auqajet.

Not until they can't fill new hires classes. Hasn't happened yet.
