Skywest
Must be a good story since they locked the thread about it on the North Korea (SAPA) forums. Speaking of which, is anyone buying that the SAPA president is personally responsible for anything that is written on there and that is why we have to have everything moderated? Doesn't pass the sniff test to me.
Hell, can you imagine if the company that runs this site was responsible for what was said on it? Exactly.
Maybe he has to answer to CC?

No it's crap. You put a disclaimer out like this site has and it absolves you of responsibility. You add all the SAPA guys as moderators to help with the policing and guess what you have? A normal forum....

Anybody have any info on what happened to M.P. (sapa rep) who's suddenly no longer with the company? seems a little odd

I won't bore you with the deets, but legal precedent (and legislation) has established that ISPs, site owners, moderators, etc are not liable for libel posted on internet forums.
Bottom line, forums are open conversations, not an edited publication.
The poster, if he can be identified (usually they can) would be on the hook for libel/slander but nobody else.
In fact you're legally better off not moderating at all, because by moderating you establish that you do exercise some judgement and discretion over what gets posted and somebody might possibly claim that you should have been aware of and blocked libelous content. But the way it stands you can moderate to meet your own objectives (in the case of APC, the objective is civility) without incurring the obligation of a publisher to not outright lie about people.
Art and free speech are always allowed, in that satire is always protected even if it states or implies non-truths. You just have to be able defend the content as being satirical vice serious.

Anytime something is hush hush, or nobody is talking about, usually means one was let go unwillingly.
You must be new? Sked+ used to regularly crash the servers every single month. Letting the FA's start on the 23rd has alleviated it but anytime you have hundreds of people simultaneously hammering the Commodore 64 that Flight Ops uses you get a slowdown of the system. The Super Bowl is the #1 or 2 highest sick call day every year. You don't think most people were trying to drop their trips on the 7th, do you?

Does Skywest pay for hotel rooms on reserve like Compass does (4x/month)?
