Your assumption is completely untrue. Yes, all reserve lines must be awarded, but they don't do that first. If you are 20 from the bottom and there are 20 reserve lines, the only way you aren't getting a full reserve line is if someone senior to you bids a reserve line. If you aren't in the guaranteed landholder range but higher than reserves, you are in the targeted range. You may or may not get a full line depending on what is left by the time you are processed. If you don't get 75 hours and you aren't a guaranteed landholder, you are composite. There is no conspiracy in that.

I think it is pretty telling that every month we are the only airline to have so many posting about bad lines.
PBS needs to be stopped from globalizing and any forced hours over 84 needs to be premium.

What's a bad line look like? I am still on reserve but when I get a line I want to fly my pants off. Load me up. Who needs days off when you have a major airline to go to.

Can a composite lineholder pick up open time? Can they "proffer" to take such trips instead of their reserve days?

That ship has sailed. That's something you get written before the fact. Not after.

All pilots can pick up open time if it's legal. You can always call and ask about trips on reserve days, but no guarantees.

The beautiful thing about open time is everything you do is via skedplus, like a line holder.

As a reserve, everything is a call to CS. wanna pickup a trip from another crewmember? CS.

Best thing? They sometimes deny what you're legal for just because.

Composite is a WORLD better than reserve.

I got awarded a trip during reserve period. Is it possible to drop the trip and pick up another trip during days off? Or can you only drop if someone is willing to pick up your trip?
