The only aircraft as far as bidding goes are the CRJ, the Brasilia and the E175. It's possible to be senior enough to be a Brasilia lineholder, but then end up on reserve on the CRJ. It's also possible to hold a line in one base, but then transfer to a more senior base and end up back on reserve. Once you can hold a line on the CRJ you hold a line on the CRJ. It doesn't matter which version (200/700/900) you fly.

The 200 trips go more junior, so as a junior lineholder in most bases you can expect to fly mostly 200 trips. Some bases like IAH have a lot of 700 flying so even junior lineholders get 700 trips. The trip mix and what you can expect as a junior lineholder changes a lot base by base. I just got my May schedule and bidding 75% as a lineholder I have all 200 trips in May.

Say you are on reserve in ORD...is it possible to bid on open time in other bases so you're not stuck in your crash pad the whole time?

You will be a CRJ line holder, which means any of the variants. In fact we just received a memo that equipment may even change mid-trip now to reduce the longer (30+ hour) overnights. Not sure what to think about that...
What memo was that?

Some of the more detailed RSR reports noted that crew planners are toying the the idea of mixed equip trips to help create better pairings.

Yes, I've done it. I just called CS and asked them. If it doesn't conflict with any rest legalities or your normal schedule, then you got it!

What kind of times are people getting hired with? Would I have a shot with 1600TT and 65 multi?
I've also wondered this, anyone have any recent experience with what they are looking for? Thanks!

There is real talk for this, but the hangup is 'FA head' and the lack of foresight on her part. She doesn't think it's possible to come up with a computer program to figure out how to schedule 1 FA on part of trip, and then adding a second for another part.

The intelligent person would say, "why doesn't SkyWest just pay for the software that is currently available." That isn't what SkyWest is about. They would rather pay someone $13/hr to write a new program that doesn't work and expect us to use it.

If this does happen, it will be a while.

We can do it with our current software. Schedule it so FAs stay with the plane and pilots swap. That can't be too hard.
