I believe until you upgrade or transition, the highest you'll get is 37.15. It does not mirror CRJ beyond year 2. But with the seat lock ends on year 2, you do have the option for a CRJ slot or stay on the bro for better seniority.

For what it's worth I took a paycut when I went to the CRJ even with the higher pay rate because I was bidding top 20% on the brasilia vs 85% on the CRJ in the most junior base. I could hold the high credit brasilia trips with weekends off vs holding only 17 hour 4 days on the CRJ with 36 hour layovers working all weekends. This was pre-117 though and I've heard the brasilia trips have gotten much worse even for senior people.

Bro trips depend on the base, SLC trips have been terrible lately, I guess they're getting 4 day trips with 11-12hrs of block for 16hrs of credit. There are a lot of SLC guys picking up out of base just for better credit trips. In LAX the trips are usually anywhere from 17-19hrs for a 4 day, lately if you're senior enough there are some 20-23hr credit trips out there if you're willing to work weekends. Losing a couple stations really makes a big impact on trips when you don't fly to many different spots to begin with. My friends in SFO say their trips are decent credit but that's likely going to change with the loss of MOD and the draw down this summer for the runway closures there.

Most trips that went to MOD were low credit anyway since it's such a short flight. Before 117 they used it a lot as a reduced rest to make pairings commutable but those were the only better trips through MOD. Losing some OTH flying to the CRJ and losing LMT will probably bring the credit on trips down. I've heard rumors of losing CIC which is a decent block flight and was one of my favorite overnights. That would be sad.

It seems like they are slowly replacing the bro....or at least shrinking it.

What's the word around the Bro community at OO? If CIC goes, that's 3 whole destinations gone from an already-small SFO Bro base. Everyone's told me to take the Bro (I live in Oakland, just a 30-minute drive from SFO) instead of commuting to the jet in MSP or wherever (which makes perfect sense for about a zillion reasons), but I gotta admit that the reduction in Bro flying makes me a bit hesitant to join a shrinking fleet...

Just pick the CRJ and get it over with.

Staffing looks like it could be pretty tight with the ERJs coming onboard, the Brasilia is profitable though so I don't know if solving staffing issues by eliminating the Brasilia would be a route they take.

You're within 2 hours of SFO living there so even if the Bro does shrink and you end up on reserve for a long time you'll still be sitting at home on reserve. I'd even argue that it shrinking could be beneficial to you living in base on reserve. I was on reserve in FAT when the base started shrinking and moving flying over to SFO and I went almost 3 full months without flying a single flight. I almost had to go back to sim for landings.

Even if they fully close SFO and force you to commute to LAX which probably won't happen during your two year seatlock that would be a better commute from OAK than MSP or ORD. I'd rather sit at home getting paid than commute to MSP and sit in a crashpad not getting paid personally.

Thank you sir, those are great points! Didn't really look at it that way. Just don't want to get furloughed as a result of fleet shrinkage, but since OO has never furloughed a pilot, that's probably a silly concern on my part.
