The latest Domicile Vacancy Report doesn't show any openings for SFO. There were openings in FAT for the EMB and LAX for the RJ. The report is put out monthly and isn't necessarily followed.

In other news, the junior EMB175 transition going to class has only been here 9 months. Doesn't look like they're enforcing the seat lock. At this point they don't have enough bids in for the 175 and new hires will probably be in it pretty soon. (ORD only domicile for those interested.)

I have heard large construction in SFO and that will minimize number of flights in/out this year. Would this make it that much more difficult to get SFO out of training or even transfer several months later?

Thank you!

My roommate thru training got SFO after being online a little over a month, it's possible

the construction should be done by august. if you get in the late may or the june class, you'll be out of IOE at the end of construction so nothing to really worry about on that regard.

Sounds like there is quite a bit of movement. I haven't heard much about SLC lately. Anyone know how senior it looks on crj or bro? Could a new hire get SLC soon after IOE?

Thanks!

SLC is extremely senior but it's also the biggest base. It always seems to be a wildcard for junior FOs. Sometimes they put an entire new hire class there, and other times they go a year without transferring a single pilot in on both the bro and RJ.

One thing that almost never changes about SLC is that on the RJ you can expect to be on reserve for multiple years, and on the brasilia the trips are terrible. I know quite a few people who have actually transferred out of SLC and chosen to commute just to get a line or on the brasilia to get a better line.

SLC isn't that senior on the Brasilia. LAX and PDX are both more senior on the Bro.

What makes the trips so bad on the brasilia? would they be worse than commuting to reserve?

This is pretty funny, I interviewed there last month. I have a current 121 gig and a E170/190 PIC type rating with close to 400 hours in the aircraft. I got the TBNT email a week later "regretfully informing me that I was not selected". LOL too funny...

Hmmm, I wonder why you were turned down? Couldn't be the sense of entitlement, no, not that at all...

Where did I ever say I was entitled? That's your incorrect assumption. All I stated was that I wasn't hired and I found it amusing, that's all. I have a job and thankfully it's not flying around in clapped out CRJ's and E120's that are probably older than you are. Lighten up Francis...
