I beg to differ... Blow and hookers heals all TBNT emails

Are you new to APC or something? Look at the posts people make representing ANY airline on these forums. Every person who posts here is a vocal minority for every airline. It's not like the Skywest thread is any more arrogant sounding than the Envoy, XJT, PSA, Mesa, etc threads.

I've only flown with one person who freely admits to posting here and he's not exactly the most liked person at the company, and takes pride in that fact. Those are the kinds of pilots you're dealing with here.

Those pilots are definitely the small minority (thank god)... If you would pm me who to avoid in your base, I'll tell you who to avoid in mine!!

It really is funny how some people think this forum could possibly ever reflect the majority of pilots at any airline.

Come on guys, I would be SHOCKED if even 5% out of 3000 Skywest pilots have ever even posted on here. This is true for any airline out there.

Take things you read with a grain of salt. If I took what I read on here as a representative of the majority I would believe every SkyWest pilot is arrogant (even though the really arrogant one's here are actually SkyWest dispatchers), every XJT pilot is a ****ed off pile of misery, every Go Jet pilot is a scab, every Mesa pilot was not good enough to get hired elsewhere, and so on and so on.

I suppose instead, he should have bowed down to the cognoscenti at Skywest, admitted his obvious shortcomings, and asked how those as enlightened as yourselves could help him out.

The reality is, for whatever reason (quite probably the fact that he'd be out of there sooner than management would prefer, considering his quals), Skywest decided not to hire him. His likely disappointment was obviously mixed with some 'amusement" as to why they didn' hire him.

I'll say it again, most of you - if you were in his exact same situation - would likely react the same way.
I dont work for Skw. It is a prideful trait to laugh at employer for not hiring you. The undertone of the laugh suggest that he is so qualified that Skw missed the opportunity nay the honor of hiring him? Every Plumier with a license is not hired at every pluming company they apply at. Every CPA is not hired at every accounting firm they apply at. I will never know why he didn't get hired, but laughing about it is prideful.

Hey Guys,

Can anyone who has interviewed at Skywest within the last few months share their experience of the time period between they were interviewed and notified when they were accepted or not?

My rumor mill has it all over the board.

Thanks!

I was told within 4 hours. It does vary though. I want to say over the last few months from people I know that were hired after me that the wait time was maybe a week. It really depends what they have going on though so it is going to vary as you know. Hope that helps.

You don't have to practice in a Frasca. That would be the best option I suppose, if you have the money and access to one. The only thing I did to prepare for a sim eval was fly the default baron on MS flight simulator. Is it as good as getting in a real frasca? No, but I assure you it was more than enough and better than nothing. Just a thought and an option for those that don't have access to a Frasca.

The 200's aren't going away overnight.

Word is that something big is to be announced soon, probably that we are whoring ourselves to fly what eagle said no too?

No leverage, no union, no voice?
Yep, I just picked up one of those 200s the other day. The 200 will stay around for a while.
I just flew one of those old birds from IGM to TUS last month. There were 60+ 200's parked up there, pretty cool sight.
