The Horizon name has been around for a long time and the people in those communities have a lot of love for that product (I'm sure the free wine/beer the serve helps that) and all they've ever known has been props on their routes minus some select pairs served by the F28/CRJ when they had those.

Unfortunately, the American population has decided that it won't ride on turboprops (and also won't pay an airline fare that covers it's own costs) and therefore the "50s" are here to stay for quite a while. While I agree that "50's" have no right to be flying many routes that are currently served, they are also the exclusive airline server of several communities.
Until people are willing to buck up and fly turboprops (sadly, unlikely), 50's will dominate this niche market.

Can some one who has gone through training on the CRJ recently give me a PM? I was accepted into the next new hire class and have a lot questions.
Thanks!

Just heard from 2 sources that SKW just cancelled an upcoming Bro class and are switching folks to the CRJ. Not good for people hoping for an SFO base (like myself). Anyone hear anything further?
