And that's the real dilemma here, should I wait 3-6 months and try again or should I join the class for the offer that I have..
Tough choice between a really bad commute or lose 6 months seniority..
But everyday that passes, reduces the disappointment and makes me accept the reality that SKW is gone, it's time to move on..

I did not, am waiting on the e-mail. To be honest, given my background, I'm feeling confident it will be a "yes," but you never know (that's not arrogance, just an acknowledgement of where I think I fit in the applicant pool).
I really appreciated the fact that they had true standards for hiring dudes, but feel bad for the guys who didn't make it. I think they were great dudes who just didn't have the mentors to talk them through the prep process. I tried to give a couple of guys the interview prep course I took in the 15 minutes we had in the lobby before the interview, but the simulator seemed to be the downfall.

Especially if there is no training contract at said regionals it costs nothing to go really (assuming you're unemployed at the moment.)

About how long does it take to hear from SkyWest after you submitted your application? I submitted mine at the beginning of last week but haven't heard anything. Should I give HR a call or just wait and let them contact me?

Go to one of the other regionals which you think would be the best fit for you, and reinterview in 6 months. If you make it then you got yourself a good dilemma to decide. Hold on to one job with good seniority but commute, or go to SKW with 0 commute and 0 seniority.

This is basically what I did, didn't interview twice tho. Did two full ground schools back to back and while it sucked leaving the other company for SKW and all the work I put in at the other airline, I couldn't be happier with my decision since I have no commute now. 6 months seniority is well worth no commute for the next 4,5,6 years until upgrade. That's just me tho.

Noticed a Skywest 200 with the new AA paint today, looked like it was going to ORD. When did this flying start, and how many planes in ORD is Skywest flying for AAG?
