It started on April 1st out of ORD with four airplanes. We've had AA flying in LAX for about a year and a half which is where the AA painted plane came from. Out of ORD CHO, ICT, MKE and YUL are destinations. I think there may be a few more I can't think of.

Go to one of the other regionals which you think would be the best fit for you, and reinterview in 6 months. If you make it then you got yourself a good dilemma to decide. Hold on to one job with good seniority but commute, or go to SKW with 0 commute and 0 seniority.
Especially if there is no training contract at said regionals it costs nothing to go really (assuming you're unemployed at the moment.)

All depends. calling won't hurt I don't think. Just call and say "hey I submitted my airlineapps and I haven't heard anything, I was wondering if I missed anything on the application" or whatever.
I'm on that camp. there are those that will say NEVER CALL LET THEM CONTACT YOU!

I agree with this. Do what is best for YOU and your family. The airlines do not give a damn about you. Anyone who thinks otherwise is on crack. Don't feel guilty about leaving one airline for another. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy working at skw but it's a business like any other. They're out to make money, not please the employees. Good luck!

I did not, am waiting on the e-mail. To be honest, given my background, I'm feeling confident it will be a "yes," but you never know (that's not arrogance, just an acknowledgement of where I think I fit in the applicant pool).
I really appreciated the fact that they had true standards for hiring dudes, but feel bad for the guys who didn't make it. I think they were great dudes who just didn't have the mentors to talk them through the prep process. I tried to give a couple of guys the interview prep course I took in the 15 minutes we had in the lobby before the interview, but the simulator seemed to be the downfall.

Any SkyWest pilots - any idea how junior Houston, Colorado Springs, and Denver are? Any thoughts on the probability of getting them out of training?
Thanks in advance!

I have an interview at Skywest next week. I know it's probably the toughest in the industry, but aside from that, if offered a job how long until one could expect a class start date? Do they offer jobs on site? I'm butting up to two class start dates the following week and will have to $h!t or get off the pot.

The most junior FO in all three of those bases has less than 2 months seniority. All three are possible right away or shortly out of training. COS is the most junior with under a year and a half on reserve. IAH and DEN are closer to 2 years before you can hold a line.
