Yet if you are under seat lock they will not let you go to the understaffed CRJ.

Factor in they staff that jet at 8 pilots per seat. And factor in all the people that ate waiting for classes at Majors, and i bet im not far off.. Guess the train plan even ramps up more this spring..

Nothing official yet. Just speculation at this point since we're so overstaffed on the 175 in ORD.

1. What is the junior west coast base for FO? I will be commuting from ANC and want to keep it to SEA, SFO, LAX, DEN, PDX, MSP, etc. Airports with direct flights!

2. What is the current upgrade time? Is it still looking like 4-5 years?

Again, thank you for your time.
If you're ORD based you can always jump on one of our direct flights as well. Not sure Skywest is going to give you the kind of lifestyle where commuting from ANC to ANY base is a good deal though. It's not a very family friendly airline for commuters :/

I used to commute ANC ORD it's miserable and ORD will be your first base most likely. There's not many flights and depending on direction of flight and time of year they planes are weight restricted. ORD only sees 737 unless something's changed and it's the worst seat to be stuck on for 4 hours plus! Go to an airline with only West Coast bases you'll thank me later.

Call recap.. My take.

For those woried about the crj700's leaving. they just anounced on the conferance call that they have secured all 20 coming off United 2016 contract..all have beed spoken for.. Looks like SkyWest grows big with 175's (34~in 2016) and moves 700's to other partners.. and a few 200's going away...and XJT losses a few airplanes (20 E145's but has the option to extend) but no growth..and its all based on pilot availability.. Xjt still losses money in 2016. But not as much as 2014/15.. Not involved in AS 175's there buying for QX...

Thats my take..
