You don't need to buy a new leather jacket... I use mine from Mesa they said no prob and it wasn't perrone...so you should be just fine! Welcome to Skywest!

For awhile we actually did have Gibson and Barnes as an option at SkyWest. So there are some of us that have the G & B leather jacket and it is definitely not a problem.

Thanks for the replays everyone. Glad to hear I can get some use out of what I already have.

Yes G&B is fine for SKW, plenty of LAMAs using them. I actually prefer the Perrone, but not $400 worth.

Not to beat a dead horse, no pun intended, but would an Eagle leather jacket be OK to use? Expressjet and Mesa jackets seem to be really similar to the OO jacket. Eagle's has knit cuffs and waist instead of leather. A subtle difference but a difference nonetheless. Not sure how hardcore the uniform police are. Ultimately both jackets have a place for IDs, epaulets, and name tags identifying you as a crew member, so I wouldn't think it would be a problem, but still would like the peace of mind of knowing. I would really prefer not to fork over 400 bucks for a leather jacket again.
Thanks in advance.

Might be a better move to sell the jacket you have and put the proceeds towards the correct one. If you're West Coast EMB you could get by with only a blazer or sweater. But if you're on a jet you'll go to Canada, Fargo or Minot eventually.

You could probably get away with it if you avoid the mothership (SLC) and stick to the West Coast. But I wouldn't bring it on IOE...some of the LCA might feel obligated to address the issue.
