Good info guys. Thanks.

I'm new to the commercial flying game as a military guy. I definitely have more questions than answers at this point.

I've got interviews with Horizon and Sky West lined up and obviously want to make the choice that is best for my QOL.

OO has never furloughed a pilot, and right now with everything being short staffed no one is going to furlough. If they shrink the Brasilia it won't be because they want to shrink the Brasilia (they're profitable). It will be because they don't have enough pilots to staff the CRJ or E175 flying and they want Brasilia pilots to move over there.

If they close SFO in order to staff the CRJ they would almost certainly release seat locks to let people transition over. I don't think you'd have anything to worry about. If you live in OAK you definitely want SFO on the Brasilia for QOL.

Why not take the CRJ and go for SFO? My roommate for training just recently got awarded SFO and we've been online less than 2 months.

That's rare. Even over 2 years I'd be within the bottom 3 in SFO on the CRJ.

If I lived in OAK or SFO I'd probably want the Brasilia because it pays more rather than spending 4 years on reserve on the CRJ.

Damn, that's fast, at least from what I've heard...but it sounds like with the Bro, I'd get off reserve a lot quicker.

Hey does anyone know if first year pay includes the 6-8% 700/900 override or does that start on second year pay? Just wondering since most IAH flying is 700 trips. Thanks!
