1. Its mostly 200/700 for united. There are a couple random delta 900 trips but some months there are none of those.

2. Most of the trips are commutable on one end. I have been getting trips that are commutable on the back end but I have been able to post my first turn to make it commutable on the front as well.

3. It's hit or miss. The trip I just finished was in and out of DEN the first 2 days and the last 2 were in and out of SFO. Some trips leave DEN on huge first day and don't touch DEN until the last day and some are in and out of DEN the whole trip. The trips are on united on DEN so you could be in any of the united hubs during your trip.

I'm in the SKW pool for an August class date, I live in Colorado Springs, and have been told to expect the CRJ.

Wondering if any SKW pilots have any thoughts on being the junior FO at Denver versus Colorado Springs. Advantages / Disadvantages of each?

Also, does anyone know if the training department folks will send out training material that I can study now to get better prepared for class? I know they expect solid performance, have been told that some airlines will let poolies have study material.

Thanks in advance

Wow. August? Was that the soonest available or your choice?

The soonest I can get my butt out of the AF. My retirement date is 1 Sep, and I had to burn a bunch of leave for my daughter's wedding and some major-life-event stuff. If I could make the 28 April class I absolutely would, but I just can't. I'm grateful they will keep me in the pool until August.

Same here...SKW was kind enough to allow me to defer till September. I would MUCH rather be in the April class, but other events prevent that. Can't wait to get out there...

COS- Trips start early and end late. You will not get called as much on reserve. You will likely not get called in just to sit ready reserve. You will likely not get sent TDY to sit reserve in another base.

DEN- Trips start later and end earlier. You will get called in a lot more often, sometimes longer trips, sometimes just a short roundtrip. You will sit ready reserve at the end of an assignment if you last day is a fairly short day. You will get called in to sit ready reserve for 7:30 on the last day of your reserve block. You will get sent TDY to sit reserve in other bases.

I wouldn't go in expecting to get DEN right out of the gate. I don't know of anyone that was based there recently. Having said that, with the way things and people are moving, it's possible to get it at some point and with a little luck, sooner than later.

Congratulations on the retirement!
