I am coming to OO in the July class and plan to be MSP based (easiest commute). I have heard it has some of the worst flying in terms of many short legs, and not hitting guarantee. Friends at other regionals who recently started are crediting very close to 100 hours a month and not flying on days off.
I am wondering what I can expect for credit times when I start(I have heard there is next to no reserve).
How long before I can bid trips that have "long legs" I definitely prefer staying in the air for a longer time.
Should I plan to bid into ORD for much better trips?
Thanks everyone!

Not even on line yet and complaining about the commute and type of flying....

Most people prefer 35 minute legs, so those 3+ hour legs in a 700 should be easy to bid right off the bat. Probaly before you finish IOE. Actually, I heard they just assign them to you as soon as you arrive at the Candlewood.

Did another SKW pilot not bow and shake your hand as you were passing in the terminal?
I'm so sorry for the pain you must feel.
