Where do you find this information? Will EV pickup more of our 200 flying out of IAH then? The IAH base was suppose to be huge, but that never happened.

Where do you find this information? Do you mean XJT picking up more UAL flying out of IAH? Or are you talking about XJT's flying out of IAH before OO took that flying from XJT?

The IAH base use to be huge, but now it's not anymore.

Just saying...

OO didn't take any of XJT's flying. They simply put planes on the routes they could make money with. Do you really think any of us would still have a job if OO wasn't making money? You can bash OO all you want, but the fact is there would be no XJT if they hadn't bought them. The Skywest pilots have done nothing but support the XJT side in not taking concessions and yet we have to read your constant insults.

Well you are a regional carrier, so by default, you do suck.

Bringing back planes to mainline a little at a time. Good luck with the interview.

United is so short mainline aircraft they aren't taking anything back. Hence the 175 taking over more mainline routes. Delta yes, but United is so far in the hole it's going to be a long long while before they begin to claw their way out.

So if all regional pilots suck what does that say for the mainline pilots that made this industry what it is today?

The finger can be pointed in many ways. Most pilots are just trying to make the best out of a bad situation.

The interview went great...thanks

Ya, that wasn't an insult to Skywest. That was a jive to his post about "Skywest's flying" when in fact it's UAL flying. So if he is going to call it "Skywest's flying" then he has to call it "XJT flying" before Skywest took it.

Anyway, XJT would still exist either way. If it wasn't Skywest, it would've been someone else. UAL wasn't about to let 70,000 block hours of feed disappear. Hell, they are having a hard time being able to shrink us on the original timeline!

But you go ahead and keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better. But if you really want to help, instead of supposedly supporting us not taking concessions (not true with that last vote you guys had in that cost neutral deal), then certify SAPA as your NMB recognized bargaining agent and take a seat at the real negotiating table where SAPA's fiduciary responsibility actually has real law backing. Then get back to us here at XJT.

Um okay. Not sure if that response was to my question or not. IAH has some -200 flying. Someone said it's going away in September. I asked how he found that out. Then I asked if the -200 flying, as in the block hours, will be picked up by EV again. Meaning is another 50 seat operator coming into IAH? Then I stated that the SKW IAH base was originally suppose to be a big base, but that never happened. The SKW IAH base is the biggest it ever has been right now, at about 113 crews.

Who's going to put in the time and money it would take to certify SAPA? You can keep telling us to certify SAPA and people can even be in favor of it but the fact is that it would cost way too much time and money for a regional pilot group to be able to get done. Combine that with the fact that all of the majors are hiring and half of the team that attempts to organize it would bail for a major before it's complete. Anyone with the motivation to put in the kind of work it would take to certify SAPA would most definitely have the connections and motivation to get a major class date within the next year.

There's probably a much better shot at Skywest going with ALPA than actually certifying SAPA. Unfortunately most of the more senior people who were motivated and pro-ALPA have already left to go to the majors. The senior lifers who are anti-ALPA and the junior pilots who are trying to get away from the regionals are left. I don't see a union drive anytime soon.

People always feel like the world will stop if they don't come to work. It's a rude awakening when you finally realize no one noticed.

We could all name a dozen airlines with more weight than xjt ever had that are now gone.

OO pulled xjt back from the edge, but you keep telling yourself what you need too. Those that know, know. Your airline was very close to being a blip in history.
