If I do get a 700 trip awarded it's usually around min credit so I actually somewhat try to avoid them. ORD does have some really nice 200 trips that flow through DEN and IAH. There are a lot of short legs but that's not all you'll do even when you're junior.
ORD does have a great mix of trips like rcfd13 said. I'm nearing 7 years at OO and I can't hold 700 trips that pay well with weekends off. So I work the weekends. Can normally hold 24 hour 4 days, 18 hour 3 days, or 6-7 locals on the weekend.

I can't stand flying the 200, so I try to avoid it as much as possible. I haven't flown the 200 (other than a standup/CDO/SDP) in a couple years.

As far as seniority in ORD, it is quite senior as far as FOs go, but on the bottom, it's junior, as most bases are.

When SKW was considering jumping on the e-jet bandwagon about ten years ago they realized the CRJ burned about 15% less gas, so they passed on the e-jet at the time. In 2008 that looked a good move... with fuel prices up and the economy down every gallon counted. But I think the majors just finally decided to eat the fuel delta because their customers hate little jets.

New production e-jets may be more fuel efficient, IDK.

Embraer 170 Seating, Specs, Safety, Photo, Price

Fuel Burn seems to be the same as CRJ 700. 1000 lbs more payload.

Which is probably correct if you could get the E-175 up to FL370-410. However, we've so far been lucky to get these aircraft up to FL360.

Today as an example:

SLC/ORD E-175 FL330 Burn:10565#
SLC/ORD CRJ-7 FL390 Burn: 8326#
SLC/ORD CRJ-9 FL370 Burn: 8957#

Nothing to see here... it's not that it didn't perform drug tests, just that some minimum wage employee down in SGU failed to make sure they were included in the pool of employees available for randoms.

No problem.

Haven't seen you post the route map lately, how are you satisfying that itch? Or are you still over blowing up the Envoy/Compass threads?

Nah, no one wants to see SkyWest's newest United Express route map. It's pretty effing depressing. Add in the international flights for Alaska and it just continues to look more like a bowl of spaghetti. I'll spare everyone the soul drain and leave you more room on here to drop your nuggets of knowledge.

It would be even more depressing for a united or delta mainline guy to see your route map and how much flying they've actually lost to outsourcing! So do you have a big blown up version of it hanging above your bed on your ceiling to help start your wet dreams of Skywest dominating the world with RJ's?
