That's funny. I have a lot of friends at XJT and they all have the same personalities as my friends at SKW. Regional pilots are regional pilots and act like regional pilots regardless of what crappy regional they work for.

The people who post in APC are going to be the most loud mouthed individuals at each company and not representative of the pilot group as a whole.

As far as I've heard that's correct although none of them are on the seniority list yet. ORD being the only domicile, low credit trips, lack of trip variety and loss of Delta benefits have made a lot of current FOs stay away. It would make sense that they'll put new hires in it to staff the plane.

You know, saying stuff like that puts YOU in the same category. Fortunately most of the XJT people I've met are good people, just trying to get through this rat race same as me.

For most people this would probably be around 950 or so. I was just curious because I have not seen it discussed on here previously.

Thanks!
I was told you have to have all mins before ground school starts

Yikes Boys and Girls. I am really excited to get into OO. I didn't realize I could fire so many people up so easily. Thanks to those of you who posted something with information. To those of you who think I have no idea... I am coming from night freight with one day off a week, before this I was aerial mapping and sat in a C-172 up to 7.5 hours(long range tanks and a low power setting). Before that I flew corporate for 1.5 years when the economy tanked and then I was out of flying for 3 years. I have commuted on my "weekends" for funerals, missed all holidays in the last 2 years and seen some pretty cool stuff around the finest country in the world and Caribbean. I am optimistic about my future, and I talk to more pilots in person industry wide than the avg aviator (from single engine 91 including but not limited to flight instructing, new hire at Delta while I was in the jumpseat, many friends and new acquaintances in the regionals, fortune 500 corporate pilot friends, and all shades of the freight world).

I picked OO after doing A LOT of talking to pilots at almost all other regionals and interviewing at others. I really like how OO started, the corporate side is sound. And I believe OO is the best fit for me in regards to the easiest commute with MSP, pay, training program and growth outlook.

I definitely don't look at another pilot and think they are lesser or greater than I am, we all make decisions which we believe will be a good fit for us with the information we have in front of us.

I came on this forum to gain specific information about MSP/ORD.

Yes, the MSP trips suck but at least you wont be on reserve long, if at all.

Thanks Air, if you are based in MSP, something I recently learned about are "stand ups" are those hard to come by for the jr pilots? And if I pick those up on a day off I would assume that is the best way to get some higher credit months?

MoovenUP,

No reason to defend yourself my friend. I'm a former corporate guy too, been here about 3.5 years now. Not a bad place to be, all things considered. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me anytime. Welcome aboard!
