The way things are moving everywhere right now hardly anything is really senior for FOs. There are <1 year pilots everywhere except PDX, PHX and PSP
Negative. PDX is down to 10 months and falling.

At first this seems ludicrous but at the end of the day, this is where the pro Union guys like Nevets et al are right...Sapa has no leverage. The company can do pretty much as they please. And while there may be some (or a lot) of ball twisting done by the company with Sapa, this is something I actually believe when I hear them say "what can we do"
We don't need a union we just have a bunch of pussies in sapa. I listen to their phone calls and they sound like beggars "trying to get something" guess what sapa tell them to **** off. Make some demands and if they go around yall, the pilot group will step up.

We hold the keys to their precious reliability numbers. The company starts to pull some bs, the pilots choose a day in that week and zero flights go out on time and zero come in on time. They will come to the table real quick.

Delay code you ask? SGU

As a former Skywest pilot and OC member, and now a proud ALPA member with a major airline, I would be opposed to ALPA spending any money on trying to help Skywest organize. They had two ALPA drives and one independent union drive in the time I was there and all failed. My feeling is that they had their chance and all the things that we said in the drive have come true. Most of these things would have been prevented had they voted in a union years ago. But no, most pilots were concerned with the less than 2% dues they would have to pay. Hows that working out for you now?

ALPA is far from perfect and individual airlines depend on strong support to be effective, but i would rather have them than not.

I wish Skywest pilots good luck in their current struggles, but the writing has been on the wall for years and the majority chose to go it alone.

I couldn't agree with you more. The lifers made their bed and now they have to sleep in it.
