Default Schedules?

How did everyone's schedule turn out for the month? A brain cramp on my end (probably from being up until 2:00 am since I waited till the last day) made me work an extra 2 days, but that isn't anything a platinum day or two won't fix. But overall I am pleased other than being required to work 89 hours for the month. Everyone else get what they wanted?

80credit, 16 off, all P1,P2 not bad for 20 minutes of bidding.

I bid 25% and bid standups and day trips. I got four day trips and 95 hours while my day trips went JR to me with those guys getting 75-80 hours. PBS sucks and not just a little. How the pilots let them get by with not publishing the bid is beyond me.

What are these 4 day trips coded as? Pn? Cn? Or P1- P7?

Once you've completed your bid, do you view your pairing sets? If you do and find trips that are not desirable you can "prune" those trips.

Agreed. But as you stated, you only needed 80 hours. Lots of people get screwed up by replaced/not awarded because they need an extra couple hours (89 in my case). And since you have no idea what that magic number will be, it is hard to guess what PBS and everyone senior to you is going to do. Again, I am open to suggestions because it sucks taking so long to try and find every way PBS can screw me.

This is my main problem with PBS. That is solves as it moves along in regards to credit needed and coverage dates. Not that I think it okay to load up junior guys, but if you are 25% and want less hours, then you shouldn't get 95 hours when those junior to you get less.

I would love to know how to do this. I was trying to pull out some low paying locals this last time around but couldn't figure it out.

Disillusioned, on the PBS home page there should be a link on the left that says "view pairing set"

Yeah I look there, but what I am wondering is if there is a way to not include those pairings. Or remove them from the layer you are viewing. It sounded like what SkyPilot was saying is that you can remove them from the view pairing screen.

I am starting to wonder if PBS is being intentionally rigged to reward low/mid seniority at the expense of seniors.

FOs: Extends the honeymoon phase for a few years with artificially high QOL. About the time you get senior enough to upgrade, your FO seniority isn't really improving your life so might as well upgrade.

CAs: They need them to stick around for a while, but much after ten years they'd rather you move on and make way for upgrades to keep the new-hires (and not-yet-hires) happy.
