Default SkyWest Travel Benefits on UA & DL

What priority do SKW companions get on UA and DL and where does that fall in line with others (ie. before or after buddy passes etc)?

Thanks!

On Delta. S3C same as all other Delta's regionals (date of hire determine who goes first) It's below DAL's employee, parents, and retirees, but it's above buddy pass. I don't know about UAL.

SA5X on United mainline. Same as other regional carriers. On other united express flights (XJT, etc) we're SA2X. Skywest flights are SA0X.

The companion travels at your priority. Always above buddy passes.

I got my dad to Vegas fine last weekend. You just have to be really flexible and plan out your options. All of the direct flights to Vegas were full so he ended up taking 3 flights to get there instead of 1. It's a pain but it's not impossible, and it's free.

You can always buy a ticket if you don't want to go through that.

It's true, loads are crap these days, but with careful planning it's still possible. You just end up taking a lot of very early/late flights or doing some creative routing.

Yes…It's Aliiiiiivvvveeee!!

Does SKW have a companion pass program that allows non-relatives/friends to be listed? Not buddy passes, but companion passes or something that would offer the benefits equivalent of a parent or spouse.

It depends on what the mainline partner allows. I think UA and DL let you have a companion if you don't have a spouse. Something like that.

UAL allows 2 travel companions if you're not married. DAL allows 1. They can be anyone you choose but you can only change once a year. The first companion on UAL flies at what would be your spouse's priority and flights cost the same as they would cost you. Domestic is free but you'll have to pay imputed income. The second UAL travel companion costs $200 per year and there's a segment fee on every flight and you also have to pay imputed income.

DAL allows one travel companion. There a segment fee on each flight. Domestically it's anywhere from $20-80 per flight. I haven't used it internationally yet.

This is how the benefits work right now. They change with contract negotiations so information can get out dated quickly.

RickAir & rcfd, thank you. What if you are married, does that change UAL to 1 and DAL to zero? Or how does it work (under the current contract)?
