It went there on page 1.

When you do some things like exclude the bonuses and whatever else is being offered, one of the takeaways could be this;

"Hey, look at these horrendous pay rates. Rates that we, ALPA agreed to and pilots have been showing up to fly for for decades now. However, in this time of record profits at the legacies, we're still barely (if at all) concerned about compensation at the regional level".

They gotta pay their dues........

Even though first year pay is abysmal, they need to take it to years 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, whatever as well.

Obviously there are fines for airlines for violating regulations. I was referring to airline managements violation of respective working agreements. There would be a lot less of it going on if management got fined a few million every time they got caught doing it.

But like I said, it will never happen.

Equating an airline to management, classic! Airlines manage to operate in spite of management, thanks to the front line employees.

Know what happens when you don't show up for work, nothing, except a few less ruffled feathers on APC, know what happens when a pilot, mechanic F/A, ramper ect doesn't come to work, flights get delayed, or cancelled. Small but subtle difference.

Don't you have another masterful waterbottle FOIB to craft?

Five pages on an errant assertion from ALPA? The numbers don't lie...compare the pay scales and compensation packages and move on. Case closed or thread locked.

Poking fingers by pointing out that if Pilots, FA's and rampers don't show up, flights don't go out?

CCB has never tried to hide who he is. Good thing we have that iron clad "contract" so he can't be termed for saying what he feels. Or maybe he has enough stashed away to fight a wrongful term lawsuit like DD??

Obviously this appears to be a piece used fOr lobbying, not a lets bash skywest or non-alpa carriers. Politicians don't really know about this profession, and the public perception is that airline pilots are all taking home six figure salaries. This is to clear that perception up for policymakers who probably will be looking at watering down the 1500 hour rule and maybe even 117 in short order. They have to use some metric like hourly rate × min guarantee to show what our pay really is. If you tell a normal person starting pilots get $24/hour, they are going to assume that we are working 40 hours per week at that rate and making $50, 000/year. If you explain that it is only per flight hour and only fly 75-85 hours per month, that's going to sound like a part time job...

I do think skywest is a good company, and yes, this doesn't factor in work rules and bennies that puts skywest ahead of most other regionals. With that being said, I would think that everyone here would agree that 24/hour is deplorable for the training and qualifications it takes to get into 121 flying. Good insurance and 401k makes it slightly more palatable, but doesn't pay rent, utilities, food, kid's expenses, etc.

ALPA certainly isn't going to prove their point by telling Congress that endeavor first year FO's, for example, can make almost $55,000 per year in salary + insurance + retention bonus + per diem, etc., all while having almost two weeks worth of days off each month... Or by saying captains can make $100k+...


As a side note, when did Great Lakes start paying $25k/year to first year FOs?!

Oh wow, print out anything you like, and take it to management pogue of your choice. Email me via Skywestonline and I will tell you to eat dog excremental to your face. I don't care who you are, much less I wouldn't waste one minute trying to find out either. Tell you what, why don't you take your juvenile concerns to Shane L. And see where that gets you. You are that annoying fly that buzzes around ones ear when they are trying to nap in the hammock. I have never hid my ID, go go on little doggie try as best you can, your veiled threats are just more fly buzzing/yapping.
