ALPA continues to maintain that the airlines struggling to find pilots are those that don’t offer competitive wages, benefits, reasonable working conditions, and a career path.
If Airlines Don’t Act Now to Provide New Pilots with Adequate Compensation and Career Paths, the Threat of a Pilot Shortage Looms in the Future.
Currently, some airlines have heeded ALPA’s warning and taken initial action to stem a shortage by creating stronger compensation packages for new hires.
So yeah, I read it. And yeah, I've been in ALPA and paying dues a little under half my life time. And yeah, I've been through a furlough, and concessions, and a shut down, and displacements.
But there's enough blame to go around on who pooched the screw on compensation levels. Sorry man, that's just the truth. You can stick you head in the sand and not accept, or acknowledge it. It's your choice.

Fun fact, judging by post #54, MF apparently types "swollen" more than he types "SWOL".
