Our spineless pilot group already voted in a penny pay raise.
I am convinced our management could offer a pay cut with more airplanes and it would pass.
We are hopeless.

Don't worry. We all mostly agree with your sentiments 100%. I have spoken even with recruiters who have grown utterly disgusted with the status of QOL and compensation at our company. Take a look on the JetBlue forum. Do you notice any similarity? We have become the JetBlue of the regional world--namely the new Mesa. It is rather disturbing.

I'm absolutely amazed we have newhires showing up for class. We've got to be one of the lowest paid airlines now, combined with our historical credit vs block and the schedules in the junior domiciles why would anyone make this place their first choice.

New hires don’t know what historical credit vs block even is. They also have no clue of the abuse they are signing themselves up for in terms of schedules at the junior domiciles.
They only see dollar signs and domiciles. We are short on pay but we have a ton of domiciles.
This lack of knowledge is precisely why new hires shouldn’t be able to vote in pay negotiations.

Bases. The other choices for west coast bases are Horizon and Compass. That being said most of the growth is not on this side of the Mississippi so we’ll see how long that carrot lasts.
