And this is why they get paid the big bucks! /s

It could happen to any of us... If you think you're immune from a similar mistake, you will be humbled someday.

I don't see what your point in sharing that is in the SkyWest thread. I see that as more of a learning experience: humans fly airplanes, and they are capable of making mistakes under the right conditions despite how much experience they have.

Because I fly into there all the time with skywest. Yeah mistakes happen but this is literally one airport where controllers inform you and make sure you're not landing at the airbase

Do you mean TDT? And good luck, they rarely ever award those.
PDX should be an all 175 base by the end of the year. I'm sure SEA CRJ will shrink, but they should still have the DL flying. How much of that will be replaced by the DL 175 flying is yet to be seen however.

I don't even know how you bid TDY...I think that is how never they use it.

TDY doesn't exist anymore. There's OBR if you're on reserve and that's when you are at the mercy of SS. There's TDT but that's only for LOA's and such. You may as well actually bid to be based there and come back later.

It actually can't and statistically won't happen to all of us. I personally know it won't happen to me because every single time I load an approach into the airport. Even if the runway doesn't have one, I'll load a made up visual using the FMS.

It's like the gear, I've never landed without it down, and won't ever because it's like putting on shoes to me. I don't leave the house without shoes, because it's ingrained in me.

It shows 0 because you can't use it until 1 year. Email april and she'll tell you exactly what your vacation is at if you're curious.

When you hit a year it'll show properly.

Ha! No kidding. Those are always the worst to fly with aren't they?

Is date of hire considered, first day of ground school or ctp?
