Now time to speculate how senior or junior these bases go. I suspect SAN to go pretty senior as lots of guys live down there and it was a former Bro base. Either way, it will open up some LAX spots and perhaps a few other spots in California.
I have no idea how many live near BOI. I suppose a few do, but I suspect it'll open up SLC a bit.

Relative newbie to SkyWest. I am trying to ultimately get SEA. I am presently in ORD on the ERJ. I didn't change my standing base bid from ground school and was just awarded SFO. I just got off reserve in ORD and am not looking forward to sitting reserve again in SFO. It looks like there are 17 reserve lines in SFO. Given the present two base additions, especially SAN, and the busier summer flying, does anyone have any input on how long it will take to get off reserve, or how much flying over the summer will be available in SFO while on reserve? Thank you in advance for any constructive input.

I wonder if this means more planes. The ERJ fleet was already spread over 6 domiciles or 17 planes on average. Adding two domiciles dilutes it down to 13 planes per domicile.
CRJ is sitting at a 21 plane average.
If not more ERJ planes then it shows the CRJ might have the efficiencies to have another base or two. Golden handcuffs on the cheap.
