I know the merits of buying the type have been beaten to death on this website. So I"m really only looking for suggestion on places to get the type.
It seems that Higher Power Aviation has been bought out or is not in business anymore. Can anyone recommend another place?

Heard good things from buddies about this company.

I did it because once I made the decision to apply, I wanted things to move fast. Not sure I needed it but I wanted to stack the deck....and, it happened very fast. Applied and completed type one day after window closed, updated the app, less than 5 weeks later interviewed, 3 weeks later had the job offer. Only place I applied so I was indeed targeting just SWA. I also had the $ so I did it. If I didn’t have specific reasons for SWA, I don’t think I would have spent the money.

Second CPT...it’s not comparable to flight safety in regards to facilities and training aids, but they did a great job. Great instruction. Do your part before you show up and it is a breeze.

It takes 12 days. You may check a day early. Not sure what you’re asking with the second question....ground school was 2 or 3 really long days into the pm. Remember, you self study before you show up. The way we did it, to get as much exposure as possible, we rode along as the other two trainees flew to watch and learn. We had 4 in the class so we did 8 hours in the sim every single day...that was our choice. You don’t have to. But you’d feel stupid to pass on the sim and then fail....we all rode along. Did that answer your question?

I’m just trying to figure out if it is something I could even accomplish. Doesn’t sound like it without any vacation this year.
