Default Hiring "No"?

Has anyone seen the update for SWA on APC? It says:
"Southwest is not accepting new applications. The link to the job posting does not work and subsequent job searches on their website produce no listings for pilot openings. "

In my experience, ICIMS doesn't show job availability until the advertised window is open (the next one being 26 Mar - 8 Apr). Am I missing something or is SWA really not accepting new applications? Seems odd since Pilot Credentials advertises the next window...

The latest numbers from the scheduling committee for new hires shows

April 78 new hires
May 78
June 26
July 78
August 52
Sept 52
Oct 52
Nov 26
Dec 26

Email from the union just last week said 676 new hires and 488 upgrades for 2018. These are the “approved” numbers so could go up or down.

No numbers past this year. Anything between 0 and 1000 is equally accurate. I know there are numbers floating around but whatever they are won’t mean much.

Thanks Squall and Cysco...very odd that the Airline Pilot Central SWA Profile changed today, with the primary change being "Hiring: No". One logical explanation is that one of the administrators updating the APC website didn't know that Pilot jobs for SWA only show available when the window is open. Kind of a big 'oops' to make for the thousands of people checking this forum daily for airline info.

I’ve heard 600 to 800 a year until we hit 12,000 pilots, we are currently sitting around 9,300. This has been repeated through a couple different senior managers. Like anything, it’s the plan until it’s not.
