When is the new contract coming due?

I only had to commute to reserve for a couple months, but I did find it annoying to be assigned a trip with a 1600 report time, but have to be in place for RAP at 1030 in the morning. Wouldn’t think it would cost the company anything to let you own your report time once assigned. I sure wouldn’t turn down an otherwise good contract for it though. Just my meager opinion. Not trying to stir the pot.

How much more senior would reserve lines go? That would come at the expense of those living in base.

I live in base and I’m very junior , I think whatever system we have should honor seniority the best way it can, if a senior commuter wants it then so be it

If that's his gripe; that he thinks it's his right to sit in base on reserve and not get used as a junior guy, then I guess I can't have a rational conversation with him. Hopefully that's not the argument. Because that would be asinine.

I’m saying personally it’s not something I care about. I’m also saying I doubt there are many commuters hoping to sit reserve. Sorry you got rustled.

No worries. I agree that owning reserve trips instead of being responsible for the original RAP is good for all pilots. It may actually be good for the company too. I’ve never had scheduling re-assign me after being given a reserve assignment prior to reporting. I have timed out sitting in the cockpit on a ground delay because of a RAP that had nothing to do with my assigned trip.
