Nah...we will announce we are returning to the rest of the cities we've served before. Branson and Key West here we come. I think that checks them all off now we got to IAH and JAN.

Or a competitive response to the Breeze flying out of Tampa and Pittsburgh?

I think we will fill in the hole in the map of the North Central states and start service to Minot, ND and Rapid City, SD. But only seasonally in the winter so the overnights are wonderful weather

at6d 05-24-2021 11:02 PM

I’ll see your Key West and raise you a Redmond or St. Thomas.

Tankerhead 05-25-2021 02:10 AM

Two words....Greensboro.

🤔

I see FSD first out in that blackhole.

CWA message today inviting FOs in PHX to apply for interview team.... I’d say that’s a good sign.

Oh sweet. Are they going to make an all PHX interview team like they did when they actually held interviews there and hired every "good sh1t" that was leaving "the squadron"?

I’m sure it’s for FA screening.

Enrollment for the 225 program is still happening. Only difference is interviews have been virtual instead of in person.

During the Crew Brief all I really want to know is may I bring my units to Order Arms and Parade Rest please.

And why in the heck don't Pilot Domiciles have guidons?

Can I get seniority from when I wasn’t “good sh#t” instead of now when apparently I am “good sh#t”??

Anyone know how many generals we have at SWA?

Thats correct. NONE.

Tankerhead 06-06-2021 04:45 AM

Had one on the jumpseat a couple years back. How did I know he was a two-star? He told us before our headsets were even plugged in.

Only 2? Isn’t that like telling people your girlfriend is a 4? Or that you drive a Miata?

This will do.

AirTran - check
This pilot group will vote for anything - check
kernals - check

Like every other SWA thread, this one is now officially complete.

If I was in the reserves that’s probably something I would want to know before I put my huge foot in my mouth. Like having a check airman on the jumpseat, it’s nice of them to give you a head’s up.

Context and attitude are important.

WGAS if your Jumpseater is a general, even if you are in the reserves. Anyone that’s leads with their rank is a douche bag

Grumpyaviator 06-06-2021 01:19 PM

Our roles and responsibilities here are determined by seniority and seat position. I severed my relationship with the military when I got out don’t let anyone’s current or former rank establish some sort of pseudo pecking order.

When someone introduces themselves with their fighter name I get skeptical of how things are gonna go on the trip (add in hat, coat and brain bag, yikes!)

I do have to say though, having been enlisted and taking the long, hard road to get here, the positive comments and encouragement from most military pilots have been nice to hear.

For sure. Well here’s some context. He came down with the wheelchairs, hung out in the doorframe the entire boarding while all the non-middles filled up and then plopped his ass down to play flight engineer for the ride south. We pushed with roughly 120 souls and this genius on the jumpseat.

mulcher 06-07-2021 07:29 AM

That when I say take a seat in the back.

Tell him he needs to wear a mask if he rides up here. :D

Is the re-interview in person or virtual?

good luck. Do you have to redo the interview? Or it’s more just a update on things and see if you still interested?

virtual, zoom meeting, from what I understand

TapRack 06-17-2021 09:28 AM

Thanks for the wishes, guys!

Yes, I was told it would be a Zoom interview, about 45 mins blocked off, and only freshening up background info, etc. No HR stuff. Guessing there will be Zoom info coming later as I haven't read anymore about that... never used it either, so fingers crossed it goes smoothly!

can’t imagine it would be held against you…but it’s time to figure how to zoom now rather than the day of.

Hahaha, I saw that a long while back, and it's things like this that popped into my mind when "Zoom" was mentioned!

Plenty of girls willing to Zoom with you for some practice.

Take down Heather Thomas poster and put the bong on the floor.
