Bob's email link doesn't seem to indicate that would happen.

If that happened I'm sure many will ask to come off of ExTO and then that would cause an even greater reduction needed if 2k pilots came back to the line. I'm not sure what they'll ask for but I do know there better be language that no executives get any kind of bonus, stock deal or any compensation at all for x number of years. Also no share buy backs etc and to be made whole at a certain time for the loss. Plus some. Like settling our 140 grievances and fixing a whole lotta other stuff they havemt been bothered to acknowledge.
they took from us when times where good and now they ask us to help them? Really?

No concessions. Furloughs are on management. I am junior enough to be furloughed, and I prefer a furlough to BS concessions that don’t amount to fly **** in a pepper shaker. Bring it.

By my math, annual pilot payroll is what, $2 Billion, give or take? 10% of that is $200 Million. If we're burning $17 Million a day, taking that much out of payroll buys us less than 12 days. What's the point?

You nailed it. Apparently some hysterical pilots and company apologists aren’t good at maths.

80/20 or better. The 5% of our pilot group that posts 95% of the swapa forum posts will lead you to believe “no consessions, no paycuts, go ahead a file BK, etc” Is the voice of our pilot group. I think the silent majority think while obviously a businessman that wants the most bang for the least cost, GK is a sincere man who truly loves Southwest and its people. They also would rather tighten the belt with a temporary pay cut to save furloughs then simply say sorry, sucks to be junior.

Good luck to all of us...

1 vote. Use it how you see it best for you, your buds, and health of the company. Anyone that wants to strong arm guys into voting your way when/if the time comes, head on back to the swapa forum. Plenty of dudes, many of which retired or medically out, will be happy to pound you into the ground with their opinions and countless hours of posting.

Did you even comprehend the post from about an hour ago? Every pilot could take a 50 percent pay cut for a whole GD year and that only covers the cash burn for the company for 60 days. But you be you. I’ll be me and vote no. Jesus.

Then you be you. Curious..would a furlough affect you in anyway?

You didn’t bother to read and comprehend the preceding posts. I’m furlough fodder as well, which I’ve already admitted to this evening. I’m just slightly senior to Zap, so if that LEGO-loving eeyore hits the street I’m right behind him.

I’ll say it again. I will vote NO to concessions and gladly join LEGO-man at the soup kitchen because conceding our pay to Gary makes no sense and makes no difference. It just makes Gary richer.

I’m also on long-term EXTO so I’ve done my part. You’re f’n welcome.
